BEHIND THE G 

My name is Ben and I am a Welsh speaking graphic designer from Carmarthenshire, South Wales. I started Griffiths Graphics in 2019 and since then I have worked alongside established businesses, launched new brands and have provided services to individuals and events. Currently based in Cardiff, Wales and covering UK with personalised creative services. 

 

I am a petrol headed creative, that's the best way to describe me. I love anything motoring and transport orientated. My journey with design started from motoring when I was on work experience for a livery company as livery designer which got me into graphic design. In 2016, I moved to Cardiff to study Graphic Communication and following graduation I worked as a Junior designer and went up the ladder to senior designer within a global company. 

 

When I moved away from West Wales to Cardiff I was leaving my rural life and all my motoring projects. To keep me involved with my motoring passion I picked up a camera and started learning automotive photography which led to Griffiths Graphics expanding ideas to created a motoring magazine called Rolling Project which promoted my design work but also my very own automotive photography. Since launch, I have been very fortunate and grateful to work and shoot with many well known brands such as MINI UK, BAFFLE HAUS, TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES and PORSCHE.

 

Note: I have always wanted to work within motoring industry from a young age but after years of applications and many rejections from companies and brands, I had to open my own door to the motoring industry. My door was Rolling Project.

I am a big advocate for giving things a go and stepping into the unknown. As a kidney transplant recipient with past experience spending days on hospital beds with a chronic illness, I make sure to make every day count and to take opportunities that come. This has expanded my portfolio by taking variety of work and practices which is a challenge but over time it gives you an experience and with design and photography, it is important to tap into different practices to help develop and challenge your own work.
